Monnica Mataya found her passion in everything skin and client care while attending International School of Beauty’s esthetician program. After receiving her Esthetician License in 2008, she was privileged with the opportunity to work for and study under Mirela Marinescu, owner of International School of Beauty and three day spas.  As one of the industries most respected and inspiring leaders, it was an honor to be selected by Ms. Marinescu to join her team when she launched the opening of Mirela’s Spa du Jour La Quinta in 2008. 

 

Because of Monnica’s passion, keen interest in skincare and client wellness, she always looks forward to opportunities that allow her to continue her education in the spa industry. In 2009, she studied Massage Therapy to enhance her client’s facial experiences by offerings of hand, foot, shoulder, and scalp massage. Additionally, she gets advanced training from top international skincare professionals three to four times a year.

 

Monnica’s dedication to education ensures a personal understanding to her clients and their individual needs and desired results.  This has effected a genuine clientele base and ideal referral system.  She is thankful for her experiences in helping many wonderful clients with their skin and wellness needs. 

 

Monnica's passion, education, experience and genuine care for her clients has allowed Monnica to excel in her career, positioning her to open her own spa in early 2015, her dream of opening Wellness Touch became a reality. She is grateful for her faithful clients that continue coming as they not only get the results they are looking for, but they always receive a spa experience from someone who truly has the Wellness Touch.
